Shannon Clark chosen as new NRTC director
Richland Electric Cooperative CEO & General Manager Shannon Clark was elected District V director of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) at its annual meeting in Atlanta. NRTC is the only member-owned organization dedicated to serving the advanced telecommunications needs of rural electric and telephone utilities. Clark will represent NRTC's electric cooperatives in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. The members of this board are at the forefront of their industries and seek to forward NRTC's mission to serve rural America's technology needs.
Clark was elected to the post by unanimous acclamation. He succeeds Terry Bruns of Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, who reached his term limit on the NRTC board. In addition to his duties as CEO/Manager of Richland Electric, Clark also serves as President and CEO of Encore Services and Encore Electronics & Wireless of Viroqua. He is the President of the Richland Chamber and Development Alliance of Richland County as well as the current president of the Dairyland Managers Association.
NRTC President and CEO Bob Phillips stated, "I am pleased that talented leaders like Mr. Clark are helping to guide NRTC's efforts to pursue programs that meet our members' needs.
