Commitment to Community

Richland Electric Cooperative was formed to enhance the quality of life in our area. This often means working with community organizations to assist them in their goals, to accomplish our mutual goals.

Photo Contest January 1 - November 30, 2012

Richland Electric Cooperative (REC) is again sponsoring a photo contest for REC members in 2012. Photo emphasis should be on landscape and nature, not a person. Pictures must be horizontal (landscape) orientation. So capture some seasonal photos of beautiful southwest Wisconsin and the greater Richland area and send them to us. Winning entries will be used in our cooperative publications and on the website.

Contest rules, entry forms and photo release forms can be picked up at our office, we can e-mail you a copy, or you may download them here:

Thank You REC Members!
Food Drive and Member Appreciation Picnic

REC Food Pantry donations

Once again, Richland Electric Cooperative (REC) members showed how they follow Cooperative Principle #7, Concern for Community. A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone for their extreme generosity in donating non-perishable food items and cash for the Richland County food pantry. At the member appreciation picnic in October, members nearly doubled last year's contributions by bringing bag after bag of food, totaling about 525 pounds, and opening their wallets to donate over $120 in cash. At a time when the food pantry needed supplies, REC members came through with flying colors to help area families in need.
