Establishing an Account with REC

Once you have become a member of REC, we will ask you for some other information that establishes your credit with the cooperative. Since REC provides electricity and service before you have to pay for it, we will ask you to complete a credit application, which discloses information regarding your credit worthiness. Again, this information is held in strict confidence by REC. A credit application is required for us to provide you service before you are required to pay for the service, such as the ongoing use of electricity. Without establishing credit with the cooperative, you would be required to pay for all service in advance. Some charges must always be paid in advance regardless of your credit history including extension fees, connect fees and deposits.
