Deposit Requirements

If you are a new member, you will be required to deposit $100 with the cooperative while you establish a good credit history with REC. If you pay for all services by the due date for twelve (12) consecutive months, your deposit will be promptly applied to your account. If you have established credit with another electric utility and some other utility (such as gas, sewer or water) and paid them by the due date for the previous twelve months, you can have this $100 deposit waived. In order to have this waived, ask them to send us a letter stating this fact.
